About The Position

Our 10-week internship offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for students interested in gaining practical knowledge and skills in the banking industry. Each week, you will be exposed to different leaders and aspects of the line of business. You will have the opportunity to complete projects that will help you understand the day-to-day operations of a bank and develop a well-rounded skillset. Additionally, you will have the chance to receive guidance from experienced professionals in the field, participate in meetings, and network with other interns and associates. By the end of the program, you will have gained valuable insights, built a solid foundation in banking practices, and potentially set the stage for future career opportunities at First Horizon. Work schedule and number of hours worked per week (minimum: 15 – 25 hours) are flexible, within normal business hours. The Intern will learn and assist with the day-to-day duties of the Marketing Strategic Initiatives Lead, including: Support the Marketing team in several operational areas to include strategic program and portfolio support, project management and team operations.

Requirements

  • Full-time undergraduate student with anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
  • GPA of 2.75 or above
  • Strong interest in business, finance, marketing or business, though no specific major or field is required
  • Resourcefulness, team-oriented, enthusiastic

Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing team in several operational areas to include strategic program and portfolio support, project management and team operations.
  • Operationalize CMO priorities with the Strategic Initiatives Lead
  • Deliver leadership-ready communications and insights
  • Partner with internal marketing associates and LOB partners to track and complete projects
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Development of timelines and project plans for marketing initiatives
  • Assist with management of marketing projects from inception to completion
  • Support the development of project briefs with team leads
  • Provide resourcing support to project management team
  • Support development of business continuity plans and processes within the Marketing department.
  • Ensure the team is equipped to manage unexpected disruptions and maintain operational resilience.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that streamline workflows and improve transparency.
