As part of the Customer Marketing team, the Marketing Manager - Spruce Engagement will be focused on our Spruce brand, leading the strategy and execution of engagement email journeys to Spruce clients. This involves responsibility for the coordination and management of email plan development, audience definition, creative development, approvals, quality assurance, reporting and analysis. The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the Sr Email Marketing Manager and the Spruce Market Strategy Director to ensure email strategy flows through execution. Additionally, this position will support the Spruce Market Strategy Director in organizing and planning a series of engagement strategies that encompass a broader scope than only Email. In this capacity, this role will collaborate with the Spruce product development teams and other internal stakeholders where appropriate. This role will play a critical part in the growth of Spruce with a focus on email while also supporting engagement in additional channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • You have 3+ years of experience in email marketing, CRM, or a related field, and experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Adobe Journey Optimizer is a plus
  • Strong communicator with exceptional project management skills, who thrives in a collaborative environment and has the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Motivated individual who consistently takes initiative and proactively seeks out opportunities to add value beyond core responsibilities
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, use of data to drive decision-making, and crafting data into a meaningful channel-level story
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using Tableau, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Adobe Journey Optimizer a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Spruce engagement email marketing, including campaign development, segmentation, automation, A/B testing, and performance analysis
  • Develop personalized and automated multi-touch email journeys based on customer behavior data for onboarding, post-sign up engagement and reactivation
  • Regularly analyze performance data to identify opportunities to enhance personalization, targeting, and customer journey optimization
  • Collaborate and communicate with agency and internal teams to create a high level of awareness of marketing programs, strategic alignment and successful execution
  • Report on the performance of email marketing campaigns to Senior Leadership, including observations, insights, and recommendations for enhancements to improve overall effectiveness
