About The Position

Positioned at the heart of Global Advertising Marketing, this role lives within the Global Brand, Narratives and Content team—the creative powerhouse responsible for defining how Google speaks to the world’s marketers. We’re the architects of the Google Advertising narrative, transforming product goals into high-energy, global content that defines the industry conversation. Organic social is the heartbeat of Google Advertising Marketing, and the backbone of how we go-to-market. In this role, you’re a creative director, a cultural analyst, a strategist, and a maker rolled into one. You’ll sit at the epicenter of our most ambitious product launches and global events, transforming Artificial Intelligence and Google Advertising narratives into scroll-stopping stories that drive massive scale.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in advertising technology or digital media.
  • Experience implementing go-to-market strategies or scaled marketing programs.
  • Experience in the social landscape and digital marketing ecosystems.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and maintaining executive-level relationships.
  • Experience with the evolving AI landscape and its impact on the digital advertising industry.

Responsibilities

  • Build strategy end-to-end for Google Advertising’s largest owned channels; integrate social into every major Advertising initiative, ensuring our presence is intentional, data-driven, and indispensable.
  • Raise the bar for what "Google-quality" content and creative looks like, whether it’s writing a sharp thread, directing a short-form video, or experimenting with new artificial intelligence-powered creative formats.
  • Oversee editorial strategy and direction for top owned channels; connect the dots across hero content platforms and the Advertising narrative, ensuring our content tells a cohesive story across channels.
  • Move with velocity and set tight deadlines for high-stakes launches with the agility of a startup founder and the precision of a program manager.
  • Take responsibility for building and selling ideas and plans to leadership, and for being the connective tissue between creative teams, product stakeholders, and executive leadership.
