About The Position

Marketing Lead, Business Area Americas Embark on a transformative journey with Outokumpu – the stainless steel market leader in Europe and the second-largest player in North America, with global operations and a strong domestic manufacturing footprint in the United States, serving customers across critical industries. As part of our award-winning global Brand and Marketing team, you will lead marketing for Business Area Americas (BAA). You will build modern, data-driven marketing capabilities and drive go-to-market strategies that accelerate growth across our stainless steel portfolio in one of Outokumpu’s key regions. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of business strategy, commercial execution, and brand building—working closely with regional leadership and global teams to turn market opportunities into measurable business results. You will help generate demand in industries shaping tomorrow, where future-proof materials are critical to performance, durability, and a more sustainable society. Location: Houston / Calvert / Hybrid

Requirements

  • Relevant B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree and 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing or marketing communications
  • Extensive experience in B2B marketing within a global, industrial or technology-driven environment and demand creation
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Data-driven marketing mindset: proven track-record on turning business goals and insights into focused, measurable marketing actions
  • A sharp eye for brand, design, and coherent storytelling
  • Collaboration and delivery: Structured project management and confidence to work closely with commercial stakeholders and external agency partners

Responsibilities

  • Lead BAA marketing strategy and execution: Own and drive the marketing communications strategy for Business Area Americas, ensuring strong alignment with business objectives and measurable commercial impact
  • Drive marketing excellence: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and marketing programs for key industry segments and product portfolios across the Americas
  • Build customer-centric marketing: Develop deep customer and market understanding, including segmentation, buyer personas, and differentiated messaging and content
  • Execute high-impact campaigns: Design, manage, and optimize multi-channel campaigns across digital, content, paid, trade media, and events—with clear ROI tracking
  • Establish thought leadership: Ramp up and lead BAA thought leadership efforts in close collaboration with global content and social media team
  • Act as a strategic partner: Work closely with sales, market development, and strategy teams—positioning marketing as a trusted advisor to the business
  • Strengthen brand in the region: Elevate Outokumpu’s brand presence in the Americas by aligning local execution with global brand storytelling and standards
