About The Position

The Marketing Intern will play a key role in supporting First Nation Group’s Corporate Development initiatives by enhancing brand visibility and optimizing marketing strategies. This role focuses on communication outreach, charitable giving initiatives, and employee engagement, with an emphasis on creativity and attention to detail. The Marketing Intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement social media, website, and traditional marketing campaigns targeting customers in the Government healthcare industry. They will contribute to content creation, analytics reporting, creative design, and expanding the media library to help position First Nation Group as an industry leader both internally and externally.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Enrolled in college or university in good standing
  • Degree program related to marketing, communications, or other related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Canva to design marketing materials and digital assets
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to proofread and ensure brand consistency across materials
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms
  • Familiarity with WordPress CMS or other website management platforms
  • Basic understanding of digital analytics and ability to interpret data to inform strategy
  • Experience supporting events, campaigns, or charitable initiatives is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain marketing content across digital platforms (e.g., website, social media, corporate Intranet) to support branding and communication strategies.
  • Leverage creative thinking and storytelling to develop on-brand content, collaborating with creative agencies and internal stakeholders on interdepartmental projects.
  • Create and prepare marketing content, including collateral, email campaigns, and event assets, to support customer engagement and internal communication strategies.
  • Design and generate visual assets using Canva or other tools, maintaining a library of fresh, engaging content to support organizational goals.
  • Maintain and update website content using WordPress CMS, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with brand guidelines under guidance.
  • Monitor social media and website engagement, track interactions, and evaluate digital analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Compose, update, and maintain Intranet content to ensure accurate and engaging employee communication.
  • Prepare and analyze surveys using Microsoft Forms to gather insights for marketing campaigns and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide marketing and communication support for leadership/staff initiatives by preparing materials and managing deliverables as needed.
  • Assist in tracking marketing project expenditures and ensuring alignment with pre-determined budgets.
