About The Position

The Dallas Mavericks Marketing Team is seeking a Summer Intern capable of quick learning in a fast pace, collaborative environment with the expectation to co-lead projects and campaigns to completion in support of their Marketing Lead by end of tenure. LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP: June 1 – July 31, 2026. (Duration may change because of performance and/or business needs.) Mandatory In-Person Internship Development Session. (Every Monday morning.) Must be able to work up to 29 hours per week (3-4 days/wk.), which may include nights and weekends as needed. JOB FUNCTION: Provide support and value from their learnings and experience to push the overall goals and success of the Marketing Team. Gain visibility into marketing projects and campaign activities overseen by their Lead and is expected to confidently provide feedback and thinking to elevate the final product.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail while prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism and resilience navigating change with can do attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Social Media
  • Understanding of basic marketing fundamentals, channels, and analytics with the nature to solve problems and recommend shifts to active campaigns.
  • Must be an enthusiastic, hungry learner who’s a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Junior or 4-year college with a preferred concentration in Sports Marketing/Management, Business/Marketing, Communications, or Advertising.
  • If applying for college credit you must be able to provide proof that credit will be earned toward your course of study (from school/registrar).
