Drives marketing strategy this role will be responsible for the in-market launch of the desiccated Thyroid brand. Provides positive leadership and productive influence across and around enterprise. Leverage data, analytics, and strategic mindset in all aspects of running the marketing component of the business. Exhibits P&L mindset. Effectively orchestrate work across internal teams and external partners, including agencies, etc.

Requirements

  • Recent brand launch experience within the last 1-3 years strongly preferred
  • Strong track record of demonstrating people leadership and development
  • Leadership roles in marketing, preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or similarly regulated industries
  • Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving alignment across internal and external stakeholders (e.g., agencies, partners).
  • Experience leveraging data, analytics, and financial acumen for marketing decision-making and P&L management.
  • Background of cross functional experience with field sales, finance, regulatory affairs, research & development, and managed care environments.
  • Success in advancing strategic business objectives and brand lifecycle management.
  • This role requires demonstrated ability to operate at a senior level, influencing organizational culture and business outcomes, as well as prior experience with similar scope, span, or scale.

Responsibilities

  • Vision and Strategy: Provide overarching leadership and direction for Marketing vision, strategies, plans and resource investment for franchise and/or functional unit. Align and lead the charge. Encompass an “One AbbVie” mindset and perspective on all strategies.
  • Leadership: Set tone and priorities for scale and scope of accountability. Influence and persuade across multiple external and internal constituents (stakeholders and partners). Lead and develop direct, indirect, and cross-business teams. Infuse AbbVie Ways of Working and Talent Philosophy in day-to-day leadership and management of the business. Uses coaching effectively and efficiently to create high-performing teams and elevate team’s marketing skills and knowledge.
  • Action and Accountability: Determine appropriate action, execution, tracking and monitoring marketing plans by employing marketing skills including the Mx2.0 framework.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain focus on and consistently triangulating market dynamics, constituents' needs, and business priorities to determine the best, market-advantaged course of action.
  • Strategic Impact: Formulate and adjust business plans and actions to achieve business objectives and goals, including financial, constituents and market results. Grow and gain share and penetration. Take and recommend appropriate strategic decisions and actions for the best interest of AbbVie, franchise and brand at the varying life cycle stages.
