About The Position

The Marketing Coordinator will provide essential support to the Marketing Department by managing day-to-day administrative, creative, and content development tasks. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone organized, resourceful, and passionate about community-based work and storytelling through content. The coordinator will help maintain strong brand consistency and support campaigns that drive engagement and awareness of GRO Community’s mission.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects with hard deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and scheduling tools.
  • Comfortable engaging with community members in person at events.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
  • 2-4 years in a marketing capacity or environment. Digital marketing is not a requirement.
  • Strong working knowledge of WordPress and Shopify
  • Comfortable with Canva or Adobe tools, email marketing platforms, and project management software
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with photography/videography using a smartphone or DSLR is a plus.
  • Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly update and maintain GRO Community’s WordPress and Shopify websites, ensuring content is current, accurate, and accessible
  • Add new blog posts, event pages, service updates, and campaigns as needed
  • Collaborate with leadership and program teams to reflect organizational priorities online
  • Monitor site performance, ensure mobile optimization, and troubleshoot issues or broken links
  • Capture on-site photography and short video content during GRO events, programming, and community outreach.
  • Draft and schedule posts across social media platforms using tools like Zoho.
  • Ensure timely posting of campaign assets based on the content calendar.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to implement seasonal and program-specific content.
  • Manage the internal marketing request system (e.g., track project statuses, follow up on due dates).
  • Organize and archive photo, video, and graphic assets for future use.
  • Support flyer production, email marketing, and vendor communications as needed.
  • Assist with preparing presentations, print materials, and internal marketing updates.
  • Coordinate logistics for marketing activations at community events.
  • Track inventory of swag/marketing materials and support ordering when needed.
  • Attend weekly marketing team check-ins to provide status updates and flag support needs.
