About The Position

Helpful Hearts Health Services Inc. is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven, and results-oriented Marketing & Business Development Specialist to support the growth of our services across Maryland. This is a field-based role requiring regular in-person outreach and community engagement across Maryland. This role is responsible for building strong referral relationships, increasing community awareness, and generating qualified referrals that support program growth and occupancy. This is not just an outreach role — we are looking for someone who can actively contribute to the agency’s growth and visibility.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple follow-ups and priorities
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Confident engaging with professionals in healthcare and human services
  • Results-oriented with the ability to track and improve performance
  • Professional, reliable, and consistent in follow-through
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Marketing, Business, Healthcare, or related field), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business development, outreach, marketing, admissions, or community relations required
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships and generating measurable results
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, DDA, IDD, or human services strongly preferred
  • Candidates with established referral relationships in Maryland are highly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with Service Coordinators/CCSs, case managers, hospitals, special needs schools, and community partners
  • Conduct outreach visits, presentations, and consistent follow-ups with referral sources
  • Promote Helpful Hearts services, program openings, and service availability
  • Track outreach activities, referrals, and follow-ups using a structured system
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with leads, referral sources, and prospective partners
  • Represent the agency at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Support efforts to increase referrals, admissions, and program occupancy
  • Work closely with leadership to support business development and growth initiatives
