About The Position

The Marketing Assistant supports the Marketing team with the planning and execution of marketing programs in all media, including digital, social, print, and radio platforms. In addition, this position is responsible for administrative functions within the department.

  • Keen attention to detail, schedule creation and tracking of multiple projects is essential
  • A high degree of proficiency is required in all Microsoft Office products and other related PC applications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3 to 5 years administrative business experience required.
  • Candidate must have superior knowledge and proficiency in writing, editing, and verbal communication.
  • Experience with business use of multiple channels of social media, for example, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, is required.
  • Digital content creation experience in a professional environment

Responsibilities

  • Sponsorship & Charitable Giving – Receive requests, prepare presentation for committee, follow-up from meetings
  • Fully leverages sponsorship marketing opportunities, including attendance management, interaction with organizations
  • Arranges big check photos
  • Manages events (e.g. Receptions prior to large sponsorships such as Capital Center for the Arts, branch launch)
  • Learfield Relationship – better leveraging of sponsorship, ticket promotions, weekly meetings and collaboration with their marketing team, as well as Dartmouth administration
  • Social media (including growth of Meta, LinkedIn and potential new social channels) planning and execution, content development and support of marketing campaigns
  • Regularly work with employees on their social media profiles (focus on LinkedIn) – content for themselves, posts including new content and re-shares, building networks, etc.
  • Press release distribution to local publications (business wire, when appropriate) and on social platforms
  • Statement Marketing: planning and execution of monthly statement advertising in support of marketing campaigns and regular messaging
  • Individual financial center marketing promotions – e.g. Shop Local Campaign, Small Business Month, featured Business of the Month (tie into social media), deeper community integration between featured businesses and financial center managers, deeper community integration between local non-profits and financial center managers
  • Internal programs: Planning, organizing and communicating across organization, coordinating with committees such as the volunteer and wellness committees, (Hunger Awareness Month, Heart Health Month, Cybersecurity Week)
  • Giveaways: ordering as needed, sourcing new products depending upon event or need
  • Receives, opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail directed to Marketing Department staff. Screens routine inquiries, prepares, and signs appropriate response communications.

  • Complies with all applicable regulatory requirements and performs additional duties as assigned
