About The Position

Creates and executes the organization’s marketing plans, emphasizing the organization’s service platforms and enterprises to include optimizing Lafourche Arc’s website and social media accounts/postings. Develop agency wide strategies, which align with the organizations’ mission. Develop expertise related to project management, specifically Lafourche Arc’s BBQ and Bourbon on the Bayou Festival and Recruitment. Administers human resource policies, programs and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating and directing. Duties include formulating policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department and recommending policies and practices to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in the field of Marketing, industrial relations, website development, public administration, business administration or related field preferred
  • Two or more years general experience in the Marketing field.
  • Knowledge of State/Federal Licensing regulations is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Craft marketing strategies which are aligned with Lafourche Arc’s mission and goals.
  • Continue to grow Lafourche Arc’s brand, its enterprises and service platforms.
  • Foster relationships with community partners; To include new and long term relationships with community partners.
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of the Lafourche Arc’s BBQ and Bourbon on the Bayou Festival.
  • Continue to develop on-line/digital marketing for Lafourche Arc.
  • Manage social media campaigns/postings daily, promoting community engagement.
  • Website development and maintenance.
  • Work closely with leadership to identify the needed personnel and actively recruit for those needs.
  • Prepares, recommends, and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.
  • Designs personnel forms and directs the maintenance of personnel records by all departments.
  • Proposes, publishes, and administers personnel policies related to recruitment and retention.
  • Administers classification programs, which include classifying and reclassifying positions, and writing job descriptions.
  • Develops and administers an effective recruitment program.
  • Accepts all applications and works with applicants and department heads in hiring new employees; administers typing tests, etc., as required.
  • Processes all new employees and all change-of-status forms.
  • Maintains permanent personnel records.
  • Provides public information such as verifying employment.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by Supervisor or Executive Director/CEO.
  • Participate in all activities sponsored or co-sponsored by Lafourche Arc.
