About Hospice of Wichita Falls For 40 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area, providing services in 12 North Texas counties. Our wonderful nursing staff meets our patients and families where they are, private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and our free standing 24 bed inpatient center. It is our goal to provide premier care while honoring and upholding the patient's wishes whenever possible. Your life as a Communication Specialist Your role is very important to our patients and organization. We will rely on you to ensure that we support our staff in making sure that support in planning, producing and delivering of marketing materials for the Outreach Department. We work as a team so there will be a need to interact with other members of our team to provide support for the corporate image and marketing communications for brand. You will be part of the planning and implementing of Hospice of Wichita Falls fundraisers and third party fundraisers as needed. Our schedules are generally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in communications or related field preferred, though not required
- Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects
- Experience and knowledge in copywriting, proofreading, and editing required
- Photo and video-editing skills required
- Advanced knowledge of Windows-based programs and previous computer experience is required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced grammar and writing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Able to prioritize to meet deadlines and handle shifting priorities and requests
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and works well independently and in a team setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Nice To Haves
- Experience in web design and content production preferred
- Grant-writing experience preferred
