About The Position

Kennedy International School provides a bilingual, well-rounded education for its students from preschool through 12th grade. We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our school. The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy to promote the mission, programs, and visibility of Kennedy International School. This role ensures consistency of brand identity across all platforms, supports student enrollment and retention efforts, and strengthens relationships with the school community and external partners. This role is a fully onsite position, reporting to the Head of School. The Manager will oversee a team of three marketing assistants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or related leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff and leading creative or communications teams.
  • Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Bilingual fluency English/French is an asset.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms (Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Finalsite, Canva, Adobe Suite, CRM systems).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing and communications plan aligned with the school’s strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing data (digital performance, website analytics, campaign ROI) to guide decision-making and measure effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Head of School and leadership team to ensure consistent messaging reflects the school’s values and priorities.
  • Manage and mentor members of the Marketing and Communications team
  • Oversee staff workload distribution, professional development, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources department to recruit, train, and retain qualified team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages initiative, accountability, and innovation.
  • Ensure consistent application of the school’s brand identity and visual guidelines across all communications.
  • Oversee production of marketing materials, both print and digital, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
  • Manage photography, videography, and creative assets to support campaigns and storytelling initiatives.
  • Oversee website management, SEO optimization, and regular content updates.
  • Develop and manage the school’s social media strategy and content calendar to enhance engagement and visibility.
  • Plan and supervise online advertising and digital campaigns in coordination with Admissions goals.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute newsletters, press releases, speeches, and other internal and external communications.
  • Coordinate media outreach, press coverage, and community partnerships.
  • Support school events through promotional planning, onsite communication coverage, and post-event highlights.
  • Partner with the Admissions, Academic, and Student Life teams to align messaging and materials.
  • Work with faculty and staff to highlight student achievements, classroom projects, and school initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school and external agencies, vendors, and partners.

Benefits

  • The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000.
  • This role is eligible for benefits including medical insurance (80% covered by employer), dental, vision, commuting benefits, Flexible Savings Account (FSA), and 401K retirement plan.
