About The Position

The Marketing and Communications Manager develops and implements communication strategies to create a favorable public image, increase brand awareness, and support business development efforts. As part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, the manager will coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop digital and print content, oversee social media, write media materials and cultivate media relationships, support events, and direct successful marketing campaigns and analyze performance. The role requires strong program management acumen, excellent writing and analytical skills, and people management experience (the manager may oversee the day-to-day activities of one or more team members).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, English or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, including social media.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize projects while working on a deadline or in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building relationships with media contacts and managing media inquiries.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and social media best practices, with a specific ability to create effective communication tools across platforms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to create personal relationships and to communicate effectively delivering exceptional customer service to a variety of stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare environment, particularly communicating to healthcare providers and/or patients, is preferred.
  • Experience managing website content and projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of creative development platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and InDesign); video production and editing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Director of Communications to develop and execute integrated communications and marketing plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Work with internal teams (such as human resources, technology, and clinical departments) and external agencies to produce effective promotional materials.
  • Oversee the creation of content for various platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, and marketing collateral like brochures and presentations.
  • Manage and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, using data to optimize strategies and adjust as needed.
  • Support media outreach efforts, write press releases, and organize events.
  • Manage the company's website content and SEO efforts, and oversee social media strategy and execution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create clear, concise, and persuasive content.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, content management systems (like WordPress), and analytics software.
  • Other duties as assigned
