About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the execution of retailer-first marketing campaigns and co-marketing programs. This role is designed to help translate marketing strategy into in-market activation—ensuring campaigns, content, and retailer tools are launched on time, on brand, and with clear tracking in place. This position will focus on activating retailer campaigns across email, web/landing pages, social, and partner channels, coordinating deliverables with internal teams, agencies, media vendors, and retailer partners. The Marketing Activation Intern will also support the planning and execution of Verdesian’s VIP Program dollars, helping build and maintain a clear activation menu of tactics and ensuring co-marketing resources are used effectively. This is an excellent customer-facing opportunity for an early-career marketer who enjoys project coordination, storytelling, content execution, and moving work forward with strong attention to detail and is looking to be part of a collaborative, driven, experienced marketing team with future growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or graduating within 6 months).
  • Strong writing and editing skills with high attention to detail.
  • Comfort working across multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in common productivity tools
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams, vendors, and customer/retailer partners.
  • Must be local and be able to commute to office in Cary three days a week.

Nice To Haves

  • Agriculture experience is a plus but not required.
  • Previous experience with Adobe tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) is a plus!
  • CRM experience like HubSpot/Salesforce is a plus!
  • WordPress experience is a plus!
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop/Premiere Pro) and Canva
  • Familiarity with email/CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud , Pardot, Mailchimp).
  • Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
  • Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals and digital best practices.
  • Photography/videography skills (capture/edit) and/or experience coordinating video projects.

Responsibilities

  • Retailer Campaign Activation Activate retailer marketing campaigns across email, web/landing pages, social, and retailer/partner channels.
  • Support retailer relationships through execution of sell-through tools and co-marketing materials (toolkits, copy, assets, coordination).
  • Collaborate with select media vendors to execute campaigns and manage deliverables, timelines, and reporting.
  • Assist with the planning, tracking, and execution of Verdesian’s VIP Program dollars, including support for a VIP activation menu (tactics, templates, requirements, timelines).
  • Content Creation + Adaptation Create and adapt retailer campaign assets (e.g., social graphics, one-pagers, emails).
  • Repurpose approved messaging into channel-ready formats while maintaining accuracy and brand voice.
  • Coordinate video projects: develop briefs, manage timelines, consolidate feedback, and support delivery of final files.
  • Digital Execution + Website Support Build and schedule retailer campaign emails and landing pages, support lead capture and basic performance tracking.
  • Maintain and update website content to improve user experience and conversion tracking: page edits, uploads, forms, and lead tracking.
  • Work with agency partners to apply SEO and AI-search discoverability best practices to web content (titles/meta descriptions, headers, internal links, alt text).
  • Social Media Execution Support day-to-day social media execution: content calendar updates, scheduling, light community monitoring, and basic reporting.
  • Project Management + Coordination Own project coordination: timelines, task tracking, status updates, approvals, and version control.
  • Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure work is completed on time.
  • Use AI responsibly to accelerate drafting and repurposing while ensuring accuracy, brand voice, and human review.
  • Support additional marketing activation needs as assigned, based on seasonal priorities and team workload.
