This role is 100% on-site, encouraging interns to collaborate and connect in person five days a week. The role of the Retail & Brand Activation Intern is an integral member of the Marketing team adding value through assisting with day-to-day Sport, Lifestyle and In-Venue Retail Activation projects, including but not limited to league tentpole event planning, analysis of retail account buys, competitive research, budget assistance, product seeding, and working cross-functionally to request marketing assets for accounts. This role will also be exposed to projects on the Brand Activation/Events side of the department.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems
  • Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change and with urgency and persistence
  • The ability to be innovative and creative when handling difficult business challenges
  • Exposure to the process behind consumer-facing events and marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of programs like Concur & BI/SAP
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program within Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience working in corporate environment or at retail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using platforms like Concur and SAP a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with NBA Draft & MLB All-Star Game event planning
  • Participate in department meetings
  • Draft program and event recap decks
  • Request creative assets for relevant MLB, NFL & NBA on-field/court programs
  • Support product seeding/shipping & receiving
  • Master submitting purchase requests and invoices in Concur
  • Develop creative briefs for Lifestyle Marketing initiatives
  • Assist with various community events
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned
