The Market Intelligence Manager serves as a strategic thought partner to the Individual Life & Financial Services (ILFS) business line, enabling the organization to anticipate market shifts and make informed decisions in a dynamic landscape. This role is responsible for generating deep, actionable insights across the life insurance, annuity, and long-term care sectors—covering competitive intelligence, regulatory developments, and evolving customer preferences. By synthesizing complex data into clear strategic guidance, this role will empower product innovation, marketing effectiveness, and enterprise-wide planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in market intelligence, strategy, or research within the life insurance, financial services, or healthcare industries required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Highly collaborative, with the credibility to engage senior executives.
  • Ability to creatively navigate complex scenarios and achieve strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting the insurance sector
  • Conduct competitor profiling and benchmarking across product offerings, pricing strategies, underwriting innovations, and distribution models
  • Provide market sizing and segmentation analysis to support business growth initiatives
  • Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, Sales, and Compliance teams to align insights with business priorities
  • Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations with actionable recommendations
  • Manage external research vendors, data subscriptions, and industry partnerships
  • Support strategic planning and innovation initiatives with timely intelligence
