About The Position

The Market Access Intern will assist with planning and execution of ongoing marketing efforts for market access projects. Penumbra, Inc., headquartered in Alameda, California, is a global healthcare company focused on innovative therapies. Penumbra designs, develops, manufactures, and markets novel products and has a broad portfolio that addresses challenging medical conditions in markets with significant unmet need. Penumbra sells its products to hospitals and healthcare providers primarily through its direct sales organization in the United States, most of Europe, Canada, and Australia, and through distributors in select international markets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2+ years of college.
  • Coursework in biology, neuroscience, business, or a related discipline with 1+ year of business, administrative, or marketing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other standard office tools required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Some exposure to digital marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the development and production of new marketing literature and sales support tools.
  • Assist the Market Access Team in updating ShowPad.
  • Attend trade shows and meetings to develop an understanding of the clinical use of Penumbra products.
  • Participate in health economic data gathering and review activities, help create marketing material to tell the health economic value story of PEN products, support publications and scientific presentations that underpin Penumbra’s messages and clinical value propositions in the medical community.
  • Conduct ShowPad Audit and provide recommendations to the Team on what needs to be updated, removed, added, or re -vamped
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
  • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
