About The Position

Fernandina Harbor Marina is looking for energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Dockhands to join our team. As a Dockhand, you’ll be at the heart of the marina’s operations—helping boaters dock safely, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless waterfront experience. This is an active, hands-on role ideal for individuals who love being outdoors, working on the water, and interacting with people.

Requirements

Friendly, professional, and team-oriented.
Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs, bend, climb, and perform manual labor.
Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail.
Safety-conscious with good judgment on the water.

Nice To Haves

Previous marina, boating, or hospitality experience is a plus, but we’ll provide training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Assist boaters with docking, tying lines, and fueling vessels safely.
Provide excellent guest service: greet arrivals, answer questions, and offer local knowledge about marina amenities and the Fernandina Beach area.
Maintain marina facilities, docks, and fuel stations—keeping them clean, safe, and stocked.
Monitor fuel pumps, dispense fuel, and complete accurate fueling records.
Support transient and seasonal guests with reservations, check-ins, and service requests.
Perform routine inspections of docks, slips, and equipment; report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Help coordinate deliveries and amenities for guests (ice, packages, pump-outs, etc.).
Uphold company safety and security standards at all times.
