Responsibilities 1. Assisting large boats docking and undocking (in unfavorable wind and current situations). 2. Securing water and electrical supply to boats as required. Check dock lines and utility supplies as necessary during changing weather conditions. 3. Fueling boats within safety requirements and assistance with taking on off supplies, water, battery charging, etc. (knowledge of proper fuel, oils, etc., essential) - must write up retail transactions. 4. Maintaining Marina docks, equipment, grounds in such a manner that they are aesthetically at best. 5. Assistance as required in general Marina maintenance and repairs (alertness for safety related repairs or needs, essential). 6. Assistance as assigned in hurricane or storm preparation. 7. Know applications of radio, hurricane, storm, fire, first aid, freeze and oil spill procedures. 8. Assistance with retail inventories as needed. 9. Know live bait keeping procedures and laws. 10. Tournament activities 11. Knowledge of Marina dockage rates 12. Knowledge of Marina regulations and enforcement procedures 13. Must be responsible individuals who will present themselves well to the boaters since they will have the most contact with the boaters and public. 14. Contacting your supervisor or the Office when supplies are running low. 15. Cleaning and maintaining fuel pier store, supplies, and equipment. 16. Continual wash downs of the fuel pier to prevent fuel build-up and trash. Qualifications Highschool Diploma or GED Prior Marina/Dockhand experience a plus Customer Service, boating, fuel handling experience a plus Physical Requirements Must be able to lift over 50 lbs Be able to stand for long periods at a time Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather This position is ideal for candidates looking for part-time
