About The Position

Industrial Physics provides solutions for manufacturers, production lines, and laboratories globally by developing trusted test and inspection solutions that ensure the quality of packaging, materials, and products. They are a global leader in packaging and product integrity testing equipment, serving industries such as Food & Beverage, Flexible Packaging, Paints & Coatings, and various Industrial end markets. The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for assembling and testing a range of test and measurement instrumentation according to established standards and processes.

Requirements

  • Must be organized and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Show knowledge of standard manufacturing practices in mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of equipment used within a manufacturing environment, such as hand tools, machine tools, soldering tools, measuring tools - mechanical and electrical.
  • Be a team player, ready and willing to assist others.
  • Participate in LEAN activities to improve efficiency and standard work practices.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Participate in problem-solving and improvement teams.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at a time.
  • High School or High School equivalent diploma required.
  • A minimum of 3-years prior manufacturing work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in a mechanical or electrical field of study preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Produce product assemblies according to established processes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure product quality standards are achieved by adhering to all written procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure quality standards are adhered to throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure that any defects incurred during the process are identified and segregated.
  • Ability to Cross train on multiple products with the ability to flex where needed.
  • Work with team members to collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives relating to production.
  • Ensure that all machines and tools used are maintained in accordance with company protocols
  • Perform additional duties beyond the scope of work upon request.
  • Other duties as assigned.
