About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician in Paraplast uses various machines and hand tools to create molds to make composite parts. The successful candidate will ensure that products are produced on time, safely, and meet or exceed quality standards.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum 6 months’ previous work experience in manufacturing, forklift certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications to cut/form parts
  • Ability to use various hand tools (band saws, drills, rotary cutting disk, and air tools)
  • Ensure all necessary parts and materials are present
  • Visually inspect finished parts for quality
  • Clean part per specifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices
  • Assist with standard operating procedures for all production operations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Replace all tools and materials when job(s) are complete
  • Properly dispose of any/all hazardous materials
  • Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed
  • Utilize all mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
