About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician in Gerber will cut various assigned composite materials and parts using a Gerber and/or a CNC router machine. The successful candidate will ensure that products are produced on time, safely, and meet or exceed quality standards.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Minimum 6 months’ previous work experience in manufacturing

forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Review resident manufacturing plan for proper instructions and specifications
Ensure all necessary parts and materials are present
Complete cutting of the part per the manufacturing plan and CNC program
Inspect each step in the process for quality and presence of Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
Visually inspect finished parts for quality
Clean part per specifications
Place part on outgoing production carts
Monitor machine for any problems or issues
Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
Maintains specifications by observing cutting; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Participate in continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices
Assist with standard operating procedures for all production operations
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Replace all tools and materials when job(s) are complete
Properly dispose of any/all hazardous materials
Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed
Utilize all mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE)
Other duties as assigned
