About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician in Gerber will cut various assigned composite materials and parts using a Gerber and/or a CNC router machine. The successful candidate will ensure that products are produced on time, safely, and meet or exceed quality standards.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum 6 months’ previous work experience in manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Review resident manufacturing plan for proper instructions and specifications
  • Ensure all necessary parts and materials are present
  • Complete cutting of the part per the manufacturing plan and CNC program
  • Inspect each step in the process for quality and presence of Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
  • Visually inspect finished parts for quality
  • Clean part per specifications
  • Place part on outgoing production carts
  • Monitor machine for any problems or issues
  • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
  • Maintains specifications by observing cutting; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices
  • Assist with standard operating procedures for all production operations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Replace all tools and materials when job(s) are complete
  • Properly dispose of any/all hazardous materials
  • Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed
  • Utilize all mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
