About The Position

The Electrical Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic components, subassemblies, and systems in support of LSINC’s engineering and manufacturing programs. This role works closely with Electrical Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality to build high-reliability products in a fast-paced, prototype-to-production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical or electronic assembly in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, wiring, and electrical testing tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting prototype or R&D builds
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-WHMA-A-620)
  • Experience working in regulated or government-contract manufacturing environments
  • Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting principles
  • Soldering experience preferred not required

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and electronic components, subassemblies, and systems according to schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and engineering drawings
  • Perform cable harnessing, panel wiring, and connector termination to IPC and industry standards
  • Support prototype builds, first article assemblies, and low-to-mid volume production runs
  • Identify and document build issues, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities; collaborate with Engineering on resolutions
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and documented manufacturing processes
  • Accurately complete build records, travelers, and production documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturability, quality, and efficiency
  • Comply with all company policies, including safety, quality, and government contract requirements
