About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join its Norfolk-VA team. The manufacturing technician will perform a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
At least 2 years of experience with electronic assembly.

Self-Starter, willingness to train and mentor entry level assemblers.
Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the E3 process.
Lean manufacturing skills.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature
Follows an engineered assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts
Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
Performs hand soldering on electronic assemblies
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment
Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Works overtime as needed.
Follow an engineered assembly process and maintain consistent quality and productivity levels.
