About The Position

The Product Test & Calibration team at Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for production cost, maintenance, process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety, engagement, and environmental commitment. This role involves setting up, aligning, monitoring, and calibrating production equipment. The Technician I, Product Test & Calibration will set-up, maintain, operate, test, inspect products, and perform equipment repairs in compliance with finished product specifications. The position aims to minimize scrap generation, promote workplace safety, and provide process information to management for equipment optimization and correction, ensuring workflow facilitation and production maintenance. Additionally, the technician may assist with machine maintenance and clean up minor chemical spills, glassware, ovens, and other equipment in their assigned area.

Requirements

  • Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area
  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
  • Works on basic and routine assignments
  • Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines
  • Works under close supervision
  • All work is reviewed for accuracy
  • Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding

Responsibilities

  • Sets up various production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications
  • Monitors machinery and goals during shift and adjust as necessary
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment malfunction arrange or complete repairs
  • Performs preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor according to the Preventive Maintenance schedule
  • Completes documentation related to the finished product according to established guidelines
  • Interprets data and confer with management to determine required standards
  • Selects products for inspection evaluation at specified stages in production process, performs various inspections per required characteristics
  • Transports hazardous waste to required areas
  • Complete annual refresher trainings
