Manufacturing Set Up Technician - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Product Test & Calibration team at Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities, including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. This role involves setting up, aligning, monitoring, and/or calibrating production equipment. The Technician I, Product Test & Calibration will set-up, maintain, operate, test and inspect product, and perform repairs on equipment in compliance with finished product specifications. The position aims to minimize scrap generation, promote workplace safety, provide process information to management for equipment optimization, and facilitate workflow to ensure production is maintained. The role also includes assisting with and potentially performing maintenance on machines and cleaning up minor chemical spills, glassware, ovens, and other equipment in the assigned area.
Requirements
- Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
- Works on basic and routine assignments
- Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
- Works under close supervision
- All work is reviewed for accuracy
- Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding
Nice To Haves

- High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Sets up various production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications
- Monitors machinery and goals during shift and adjust as necessary
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment malfunction arrange or complete repairs
- Performs preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor according to the Preventive Maintenance schedule
- Completes documentation related to the finished product according to established guidelines
- Interprets data and confer with management to determine required standards
- Selects products for inspection evaluation at specified stages in production process, performs various inspections per required characteristics
- Transports hazardous waste to required areas
- Complete annual refresher trainings
