About The Position

Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) is looking for an associate or experienced engineer to join the St. Louis Materials & Process Technology team to lead capital equipment projects for the aircraft programs we support. The individual will manage the projects from conception through production implementation on the factory floor and will serve as a technical resource once implemented. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 1+ years of experience with mechanical systems or assembly processes
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
  • The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
  • “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Experience with robotic automation, and/or experience with AR/VR Augmented or Virtual Reality, and/or Python or other object oriented, high-level programming

Responsibilities

  • Manage capital equipment projects including developing the equipment specifications, attending equipment acceptance testing at the supplier, and implementing process improvements to the existing robotic assembly processes for the 777x program.
