The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Summer Intern in Manufacturing Quality Organization to work in our Huntsville Alabama site this upcoming summer of 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to use a student’s education & gain practical experience. Working with a cross-function team to understand processes & data. Position is expected to work between 20-29 hours per week. The project focus will be implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) in the Huntsville Manufacturing Machining Facility. Primary Responsibilities. Ability to use the MS Office suite of software, perform analytical analysis, status Management weekly on progress, issues & recommendations. Write project ending report (task, findings, results, etc). Work with a variety of organizations to understand processes & outputs in a teaming work environment. Basic Qualifications Must be currently enrolled at an accredited College/University pursuing an Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering bachelor’s in science degree. Must have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA or higher. Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to work onsite in Huntsville, AL. Preferred Qualifications. Ability to understand & use CAD software.
