About The Position

DPS Skis is on the hunt for a hands-on Manufacturing Production Manager to lead the action in our Salt Lake City dust bowl and keep the skis rolling out right. Pay: $23.00/hr to start Schedule: Full time, 4X10 - Tuesday - Friday Benefits available: Health, Dental, Vision Life Insurance 401k 80 hours of PTO annually 7 paid holidays Job Overview The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of skis and related products. This role leads production staff, enforces quality and safety standards, maintains inventory accuracy, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor ensures production stays on schedule, meets company goals, and delivers products that meet or exceed specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment required
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency with ERP/IQMS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read technical drawings and product specifications
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 100 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment with noise, heat, dust, and machinery

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Experience in ski manufacturing, woodworking, composites, or similar industries preferred
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and quality control processes is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules as needed to meet targets.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to optimize workflow and reduce downtime.
  • Track production metrics, report daily output, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor production staff to build accountability and engagement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback.
  • Coordinate staffing levels and shift schedules; communicate updates to the Production Manager.
  • Foster a positive, productive team culture.
  • Enforce quality standards and ensure products meet company and regulatory requirements.
  • Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions with Engineering and Quality teams.
  • Participate in weekly quality reviews and material review boards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Lead lean manufacturing and process optimization initiatives.
  • Track KPIs and recommend improvements to leadership.
  • Oversee inventory for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to prevent production delays due to material shortages.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and audit IQMS inventory.
  • Report material needs and production progress to Supply Chain and Production leadership.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and enforce PPE and safety protocols.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
