This position requires the engineer to be on-site in their respective production facility for as much as 12 to 18 months during launch, only coming home every other weekend. This includes weekends and holidays, as well as off shifts as project requires. The Manufacturing Process Engineer works independently with minimal supervision and is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes. This includes defining equipment and tooling solutions, operation sequences, and material flow to ensure efficient use of personnel, machinery, and facilities in the production of parts and assemblies. Work is performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly/plant activity where creativity and initiative is exercised as well as independent judgment. In this position, you will be an individual contributor and collaborate cross-functionally, support your peers to achieve team goals.
