Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience/training.
2+ years of experience with manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and make sound decisions.
Demonstrated creativity and initiative in problem-solving.
Frequent travel required (50% or more), including extended assignments.

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of automotive assembly processes and related technologies.
Body Shop experience, including BIW processing and installation.
Expertise in welding/joining technologies.
Familiarity with virtual manufacturing tools and simulation technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and optimization of Body in White (BIW) manufacturing processes.
Analyze product and equipment designs to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods.
Propose and evaluate processes, tools, and equipment for BIW operations.
Review and approve tooling designs; manage build, installation, and validation.
Develop and maintain build process documentation for shop floor execution.
Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturing feasibility of designs.
Provide technical direction to support personnel, maintenance teams, and suppliers.
Monitor and manage expenditures for processes and equipment.
Occasionally oversee other engineers or technical staff to achieve project objectives.
Travel extensively (up to 50% or more, including long-term assignments of 1 year).
