The Role In this role, you’ll tackle complex manufacturing challenges, drive root cause analysis, and implement innovative solutions. Success requires creativity, initiative, and independent judgment within established standards and policies. What You'll Do Lead the design, development, and optimization of Body in White (BIW) manufacturing processes. Analyze product and equipment designs to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods. Propose and evaluate processes, tools, and equipment for BIW operations. Review and approve tooling designs; manage build, installation, and validation. Develop and maintain build process documentation for shop floor execution. Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturing feasibility of designs. Provide technical direction to support personnel, maintenance teams, and suppliers. Monitor and manage expenditures for processes and equipment. Occasionally oversee other engineers or technical staff to achieve project objectives. Travel extensively (up to 50% or more, including long-term assignments of 1 year).
