About The Position

HindlePower has been designing and manufacturing industrial (non-commercial) battery chargers and dc power systems for the utility industry for over 35 years. Our staff and products serve the power generation and distribution market, switchgear OEMs, power substations, the oil & gas industry, and various transportation maintenance facilities. HindlePower is seeking a Plant Lead to oversee assigned production areas while contributing to overall performance across manufacturing. This role is responsible for running day-to-day operations across multiple production teams, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and consistently. You will have direct ownership of specific production areas and work closely with other Plant Leads to keep priorities aligned and operations running smoothly across the floor. You are responsible for execution, ensuring production plans are carried out, standards are followed, and issues are addressed quickly and effectively so that production runs predictably day to day. You will also partner closely with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure production is aligned with demand, schedules, and customer commitments. Requirements

  • Experience leading or supervising teams in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong understanding of shop floor operations, workflows, and production scheduling
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, or Engineering teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees
  • Comfort making decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for production performance within assigned areas, including safety, quality, on time delivery, and productivity
  • Ensure daily production execution aligns with schedules, staffing, and material availability
  • Lead and develop Group Leads, setting expectations, reinforcing accountability, and supporting their day-to-day decision making
  • Coordinate workforce allocation and adjust resources as needed to meet changing production demands
  • Monitor production flow, identify disruptions, and take immediate action to restore standard operations
  • Partner with Supply Chain to ensure materials, job releases, and schedules support production needs
  • Partner with Quality to address defects, resolve issues, and maintain process control
  • Partner with Engineering to support product changes and improve manufacturability
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, workflow, and execution
