About The Position

Job Summary: The custodian is responsible for general housekeeping maintenance. The purpose is to keep the facility clean and in orderly condition. This position includes performing cleaning duties such as mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, dusting, removing cobwebs, emptying trash containers, and painting interior walls.

Must obey all company policies and procedures.
Must adhere to all quality processes, including documentation and verification as they apply to the performance of your tasks.
Must be a team player.
Trained in proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste.
Able to lift between 50 to 75 lbs. minimum.
Must be able to walk, squat, crouch, turn, twist, stretch, climb steps, grab, pull, push, and bend throughout an 8-to-12-hour shift.
Knowledge of machinery and tools necessary for cleaning facility.
This job position is a “safety sensitive position”.
This position may include tasks or duties that Poly Print in good faith believes could affect the safety or health of the employee performing the task or others, including, but not limited to the following:
Operating a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery, or power tools
Repairing, maintaining, or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, machinery, or manufacturing process. The malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage.

Responsibilities

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Gather and empty trash.
Follow procedure for the use of approved cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floor and fixtures.
Move tables, chairs, desks, and other heavy furniture as requested.
Using necessary tools, remove dust, dirt, and cobwebs throughout the facility.
Perform special assignments as requested.
Performs cleaning tasks as outlined in the cleaning logs (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
Custodian is informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities.
Custodian is positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues.
Custodian is empowered to act to resolve food safety, quality, and regulatory issues within their scope of work.
