The Opportunity: Custodian Your Role: The Custodian provides support with the upkeep of assigned buildings and maintains a clean working environment for all staff. They clean and maintain the interior and exterior of assigned buildings, process trash removal and corrugated scraps, operate cleaning equipment, and perform general labor to support operation requirements as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous cleaning/janitorial experience
  • Reliable transportation to travel from one campus location to another as the need arises.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years' experience in industrial cleaning
  • Some painting experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily facility sanitation procedures by carrying out assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, production floor, breakroom areas, offices and other common areas including tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
  • Wipe down surfaces within office areas as well as windows and other glass surfaces.
  • Daily disinfecting of major touchpoints such as knobs, handles, vending machines, and timeclocks.
  • Routine emptying of trash receptacles and ensuring proper disposal of waste and cardboard.
  • Monitoring and cleaning safety stations throughout the facility including eye wash stations, first aid cabinets, and fire extinguishers.
  • Maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, toiletries and kitchenette supplies throughout the facility as well as ensuring organization and proper storage of those items.
  • Performing routine inspections of designated areas to ensure spaces are maintained according to sanitation standards and identify possible opportunities for improvement.
  • Adhere to company safety policies, cleaning requirements, and address any concerns with management.
  • Maintaining regular and reliable attendance in accordance with established company policies.
  • Utilizing reliable transportation to go from one campus location to another as the need arises.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
