About The Position

The Manufacturing Planner reviews vendor capabilities and develops manufacturing plans based on vendor efficiency and capacity. We are only considering internal applicants at this time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience tracking vendor efficiency and creating production plans.
  • Experience with the different aspects of garment production.
  • Problem solving and teamwork skills to resolve issues.
  • Excel skills – managing large amounts of data, identifying exceptions and reporting KPIs.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills and background.
  • Detail oriented individual with strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Responsive to staff needs including professionalism, respect, and consideration of others.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
  • Be able to work under pressure within a time frame.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the capacities and capabilities of our vendors, what it takes to be efficient as possible.
  • Lead conversations with our vendors to ensure SanMar is accounting for production efficiencies when creating production plans.
  • Create production plans through the lens of the manufacturer, accounting for efficient production and usage of capacities as well as maximizing margin dollars.
  • Coordinate with the Merchandiser in Honduras to get up to date information and ensure they understand priorities.
  • Map and track vendor capacities at each work center.
  • Develop analytics to track how plans are being executed.
  • Forecast style sales in deck meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: You`ll earn between $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
