About The Position

Manufacturing Operations Analyst- Experienced Mechanical Workplace Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Manufacturing Operations Analyst- Experienced Mechanical Workplace Coach in Berkeley, MO! As a member of this team, you will continuously develop and manage the structure to enable the pace and performance of the Skill Enhancement team. You will maintain positive relationships with multi-function team leaders and drive a deep understanding of the One Boeing Production System principles and standards, production health, and problem solving. Position Responsibilities: Provide coaching for installation processes specific to mechanical installations, rigging, torque, line handling, and blueprint reading and interpretation Conducts learning requirements analysis and establishes learning objectives Conducts customer workplace coaching sessions to improve individual or group performance Deploys development tools and monitors implementation and performance outcomes Serve as the on‑floor mechanical subject‑matter expert (SME) who enables rapid skills transfer through hands‑on coaching and just‑in-time mentoring Observe technicians performing mechanical tasks (engines, landing gear, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, flight controls, environmental systems, auxiliary power units) to identify skill gaps, unsafe practices, and opportunities to improve quality and efficiency. Provide targeted, task level coaching and troubleshooting guidance during live maintenance to upskill technicians’ diagnostic reasoning and hands on techniques. Demonstrate and model workmanship standards and complex mechanical procedures to establish best practices and reduce variability in execution. Capture and disseminate lessons learned, common failure modes, and practical fixes to reduce repeat defects, rework, and unscheduled removals. Participate in root cause investigations for recurring mechanical issues and help implement pragmatic corrective and preventive actions at the workplace level. Maintain current knowledge of product systems, tooling, test equipment, and Boeing processes; update workplace aids and coaching content as procedures and engineering instructions evolve. Ensure that all training and coaching activities are documented in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace or commercial manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years experience with mechanical troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • 5+ years experience in aircraft mechanical systems (Environmental Control Systems, hydraulics, fuels, controls)
  • 5+ years experience with Aircraft Flight Controls
  • 5+ years experience with Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems
  • 5+ years experience with hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Experience with tubing and ducting manufacturing/installation/maintenance
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data
  • Experience coaching in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a fast paced, collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience with commercial derivatives, Boeing Commercial Aircraft products or military platforms
  • Experience do you have with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and/or Boeing Production System (BPS)
