About The Position

Rhino Tool House is seeking a results-driven and strategic Manufacturing Manager, Assembly to lead and coordinate manufacturing operations across Design & Build assembly operations including standard product assembly such as carts, lift tables and conveyor product lines. Manufacturing Manager, Assembly will also be responsible for leading assembly of integrated systems within the overall operation. This role will be responsible for managing resources, driving operational excellence, and ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and cost objectives are met. The Manufacturing Manager, Assembly will play a key role in aligning cross-functional teams to improve flow, eliminate waste, and deliver superior customer value.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Ten, or more, years of experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably in a Lean or Value Stream Manager role associated with Operational processes & product type of specific value stream.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Kanban, Standard Work).
  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume or engineered-to-order (ETO) environment
  • Individuals must have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Epicor, or similar) to manage production orders, inventory control, and capacity planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis, KPI tracking, and operational reporting.
  • Experience using production scheduling and shop floor management systems to support manufacturing execution.
  • Working knowledge of CAD drawings, BOM structures, and engineering change control processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing dashboards, KPI reporting, and operational performance analytics to support data-driven decision making.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen, acceptable background check results including criminal history.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools and digital continuous improvement tracking systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of all assembly operations as internal supplier (fabrication) delivers product to be assembled, ensuring quality, delivery and cost goals are met.
  • Develop and manage production schedules and capacity planning to meet customer demand.
  • Partner with engineering, supply chain, quality, and sales to align objectives and improve performance.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics (KPIs), identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, resource planning, and staffing for the value stream.
  • Champion standard work practices and 5S in all production areas.
