THE OPPORTUNITY The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all operations within the manufacturing establishment. This role encompasses full accountability for production planning, logistics, facilities, shipping and receiving, and on-time delivery performance. The Manufacturing Manager ensures that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, while fostering collaboration across departments and leading a high-performing workforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations, or production management.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, planning, logistics, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operations Management - Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of manufacturing and production in order to meet customer on-time commitments and achievement of company financial targets.
  • Oversee the production of goods and services to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient production operations with a focus on cost, safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Create and maintain a documented, process-driven manufacturing organization.
  • Team Leadership & Workforce Management - Manage and develop a team of manufacturing employees, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and discipline as required.
  • Set production goals, track performance, and ensure workforce alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Planning & Logistics - Develop and maintain production plan and job schedules to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving to ensure accurate and timely movement of goods.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize inventory and material flow.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with engineering, sales, supply chain, and logistics to align manufacturing activities with company goals and customer commitments.
  • Partner with quality assurance to maintain and improve product standards.
  • Continuous Improvement & Facilities Oversight - Measure, track, and report manufacturing KPIs, including activities to improve all red metrics.
  • Manage facilities and equipment maintenance programs to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in manufacturing processes to improve throughput and delivery performance.
