About The Position

The Manufacturing Manager supports the Professional Tools business at RIDGID Products in Orange, VA, where we proudly manufacture RIDGID brand drain cleaning equipment, cables, and tubing cutters. In this role, you will lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple shifts, guide teams toward strong performance, and support a culture grounded in safety, quality, and collaboration. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Provide daily leadership and oversight for production activities across three shifts, including assembly, painting, machining, and cable winding. Maintain a strong and consistent presence on the production floor to monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production schedules. Partner with the EHS Leader to reinforce a culture of safety and ensure all manufacturing team members follow established guidelines and practices. Collaborate with the Quality Manager to support strong product quality and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive productivity improvements through process optimization, effective training, accountability for direct labor efficiency, and thoughtful oversight of indirect labor. Lead and sustain 5S initiatives to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work environment. Champion on‑time delivery performance and support monthly production and sales goals. Develop and implement standardized work instructions to improve process consistency and training quality. Foster a positive, inclusive work environment by coaching supervisors, conducting performance evaluations, supporting team development, and assisting with conflict resolution. Work a core schedule of 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM to support all three shifts, with occasional weekend coverage as needed. Effective organizational, multitasking, and project management abilities. A positive, results oriented mindset. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a logical, solution focused approach. Computer proficiency.
