About The Position

At Plasma-Therm, manufacturing isn’t just about building products—it’s about building smarter processes, stronger teams, and exceptional customer outcomes. We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Manager who thrives in fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environments and knows how to turn strategy into execution. If you’re energized by continuous improvement, lean thinking, and leading teams toward measurable results, this role puts you at the center of it all. You’ll own the end-to-end success of assembly and test operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and cost performance are always aligned with customer expectations and business goals. This is a highly visible leadership role where your decisions directly influence throughput, margins, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a comparable environment
  • A strong continuous improvement mindset with hands-on experience in Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Clear, confident communication skills—from shop floor to senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Leading and actively participating in Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream initiatives that reduce waste, improve flow, and shorten cycle times
  • Translating corporate strategy into actionable manufacturing plans that deliver results
  • Driving accountability through data, KPIs, and fact-based problem solving
  • Building a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement across your teams
  • Partnering closely with Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Quality to support both new and legacy products
  • Ensuring production targets, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met—or exceeded
  • Set clear expectations and accountability across manufacturing leads and technicians
  • Develop standard work, track performance metrics, and course-correct when needed
  • Coach, mentor, and grow talent—hiring, training, and developing future leaders
  • Forecast capacity, staffing needs, and skill gaps to support long-range planning
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources with an eye toward efficiency and scalability
