About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First Line Manufacturing Manager (level K) to support the Boeing Production Systems (BPS) team based out of Renton, Washington. Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to strengthen One BPS culture, tools and key performance indicators. Candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to inspire others during moments of change. This includes delivering good news and leading difficult conversations. A great candidate is able to envision a complex organizational structure and learn to navigate it and leverage connections. Within Manufacturing we promote a first pass quality approach and require our leaders to be committed to our team members' success. FOD-free product and Clean as You Go are also mandatory components of our production system, which require steadfast commitment to our standards, our people and our customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
• 1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
• 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal or informal leadership role
• Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading team
• 1+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
• 1+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment
• 1+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership

Responsibilities

• Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
• Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
• Manages, develops and motivates employees
