About The Position

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading daily factory execution, driving labor productivity, and ensuring disciplined adherence to operational standards across the Wichita facility. This role provides hands-on leadership to maintain an organized, high-accountability production environment where quality, on-time delivery, and efficient resource utilization are consistent and measurable outcomes. The Manufacturing Manager plays a critical role in strengthening operational discipline, reinforcing standards, and building a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement on the production floor. WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE FOR YOU AT OPEN ROAD BRANDS: Lead day-to-day manufacturing floor operations to ensure safe, efficient, and predictable production performance Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready production areas while reinforcing 5S and material flow standards Drive labor productivity and operational performance by monitoring utilization, on-time delivery, quality outcomes, and workflow stability against defined targets. Align daily production output with schedules by proactively identifying risks, escalating delays, and collaborating with leadership to ensure resource readiness and operational alignment. Enforce quality control standards throughout production to reduce scrap, rework, and errors Lead daily production communication, including floor presence, team direction, and issue resolution Develop supervisors and reinforce accountability for performance, safety, and adherence to standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, workflow efficiency, and operational discipline Perform additional duties as required to support manufacturing performance and organizational goals

Nice To Haves

  • 5–10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a production environment
  • Demonstrated success improving labor productivity, operational discipline, and workflow execution
  • Experience implementing or sustaining 5S, lean practices, or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Background in high-mix short-run manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, direct, and hold teams accountable
  • Ability to interpret production data and translate insights into operational action
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across production and leadership teams
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
