About The Position

Kforce's client, an exciting and growing start-up manufacturing company bringing both Silicon and Thin Film PV (Photovoltaic) Solar manufacturing to Arizona is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor. We produce a vertically integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturer leveraging conventional and advanced environmentally friendly solar technologies. Overview: A Solar Panel Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a maintenance team that supports a 24/7 manufacturing environment safely and efficiently. The role requires strong organizational, planning, follow-up, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others. The supervisor evaluates and monitors manufacturing processes, resolves downtime constraints, and ensures proper inventory levels of materials and parts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, Engineering or relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Understanding of safety practices and policies
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
  • Ability to manage and lead teams

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Developing and implementing a preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Inspecting and evaluating the functionality of production machines and systems to check for operational issues
  • Coordinating with external vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Use of the PLC is utilized in troubleshooting, repair and calibration of process controls
  • Utilize data acquisition systems, measurement and test instrumentation including PC systems, PLC, CMM, etc.
  • Tracking maintenance work and documenting the repair process
  • Training and supervising maintenance staff, and managing their performance
  • Assisting in budget preparation and managing expenses related to maintenance operations
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of spare parts and equipment
  • Recommending strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
