About The Position

Introduction to the role The Manufacturing/Production Group Leader in Wilton, CT supports Cleanroom Production operations. This role ensures effective output of production processes and a smooth transfer to Test, Certification, Integration, Installation, and Customer Support. Role and responsibilities Schedule: Compressed Work Week (CWW) Nights 6:00 pm - 6:00 am We have two openings available- (1) CWW Night 1 and (1) Night 2 CWW N1 schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday CWW N2 schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, every other Wednesday Planning Develop a detailed production schedule aligned with the Manufacturing Plan and resource availability. Monitor progress, drive output at minimal cost, resolve issues, create recovery plans, and communicate deviations promptly. Output Achieve planned output across all Volume Production deliverables. Ensure production tools, processes, and resources are available and effective in collaboration with Production Engineering. Maintain team capability through proper training and knowledge development. Introduction of new products Acquire knowledge on new products, processes, and production methods. Support pilot builds and prepare the organization for a successful transition to volume production. Support Organize supporting processes to achieve deliverables on time. Enable fast, efficient ramp-up for volume production and Customer Support readiness. Quality Ensure all Volume Production output meets full product specifications through robust processes and well‑trained personnel. Infrastructure Maintain infrastructure that enables efficient production. Ensure availability and consistent use of effective production and qualification procedures and systems. Cooperation Promote cross‑team collaboration by supporting problem-solving, sharing feedback, and contributing to a positive working environment. Management Ensure appropriate staffing to maintain flexibility and a productive team atmosphere. Support hiring and performance evaluations with the Group Leader. Provide direction, set priorities, assign tasks, and ensure timely, accurate execution. Enforce HR, Safety, Quality, and ISO 9000/14000 standards. Lean Manufacturing Embed Lean Manufacturing principles into daily operations. Champion efficiency through 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and waste-reduction practices. Education and experience Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Business or Manufacturing Operations preferred; high school diploma required. A minimum of 5 years in a technical production/manufacturing environment; 2+ years in a leadership role with direct people management. Experience in Production Management, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Improvement. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing required. Strong proficiency in MS Office; SAP/ERP experience strongly preferred. Business Engineering background preferred. Attributes: enterprising, flexible, analytical; strong communication and customer orientation. Ability to work in a climate‑controlled cleanroom (72°F) with full PPE (gown, mask, gloves, booties). Willingness to support 1st shift, CWW schedules, and participate in quarterly weekend rotations. Other information Role within Office – Responsibilities Regularly required to sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands for keyboarding and material handling, and perform physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching. Occasionally required to move around the campus and lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. May require travel based on business needs. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus. Role within the Factory – Responsibilities Must work in a cleanroom environment for the full shift while wearing full PPE (coveralls, hood, booties, safety glasses, gloves). Routine activities include sitting, walking, talking, hearing, keyboarding, and full range of physical movements including stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Must meet deadlines and work in an environment with moderate temperature and moderate-to-high noise levels. Must be willing to support 1st shift and Compressed Work Week schedules, including 12‑hour shifts and rotating between three and four days per week; flexibility for day and night shift coverage is required. Working Conditions Fast-paced manufacturing environment requiring openness to new concepts and continuous improvement. Ability to work effectively in a cellular manufacturing layout utilizing Lean principles. Must provide accurate written shift status daily. Additional responsibilities for Wilton Factory Must meet all physical requirements necessary to perform essential functions; reasonable accommodations may be provided. Full cleanroom compliance required, including gowning (coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves, safety glasses) under ISO 9000/14000 standards. Work around overhead cranes, forklifts, motorized pallet movers, lasers, ladders, platforms, and occasional chemical exposure. May need to move around the campus or lift/move up to 35 pounds. Travel may be required depending on business needs. Work environment includes moderate temperature and noise levels. Additional Responsibilities: There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
