About The Position

The Manufacturing Expediter is a role responsible for ensuring that Trendsetter’s outsourced components are delivered on time, meet all specifications, and adhere to required quality standards. This position serves as the primary liaison between Trendsetter and its third-party vendors, actively managing schedules, holding vendors accountable to commitments, and building strong working relationships with subcontractors. The Expediter provides timely and accurate status updates to internal project teams, ensuring visibility into part progress and supporting on-time project execution. This role is critical to maintaining delivery schedules and meeting customer commitments.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of previous experience related to position.
  • Exhibits strong communication skills.
  • Excellent quantitative, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to set priorities and take initiative.
  • Maintain a current Texas Driver’s License.
  • Capable of driving 100 miles or more per day visiting TEI vendors monitoring parts.

Responsibilities

  • Closely manage and coordinate vendor activities to ensure high-quality parts and on-time delivery.
  • Follow guided procedures to ensure products flow through subcontractors accordingly.
  • Coordinate and track work scope throughout all stages of fabrication, from initial production through final completion.
  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues related to assigned components.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of machining, welding, and coating processes used to produce TEI components.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T along with dimensional inspections.
  • Ensure all components meet TEI’s quality standards and specifications.
  • Communicate with project managers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing on any part related issues.
  • Provide written reports with detailed feedback on accountability of all parts to ensure that status updates are provided, and due dates are met.
  • Report and document any Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to TEI Quality department as needed.
  • Review Purchase Order delivery requirements to assure all specifications are met.
  • Continue to work with Procurement Management to identify performance gaps and delays that could be eliminated to save time and costs.
  • Maintain a strong focus on Trendsetter products across procurement, engineering, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Monitor vendor performance against contractual delivery schedules for parts, materials, and documentation.
  • Proactively identify underperforming vendors to prevent future quality issues.
  • Work with vendors to resolve delivery challenges and maintain schedules.
  • Conduct vendor performance evaluations and provide feedback on quality and service.
  • Coordinate and manage approval of vendor progress payments and final invoices.
  • Assist with tracking and documentation of serial numbers for all designated parts.
