About The Position

As a key member of the Sherman Plant Leadership Team, the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager leads manufacturing engineering and plant maintenance to support safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations. This role provides technical leadership, drives continuous improvement and productivity programs, manages capital projects, and ensures equipment reliability across all shifts. The position also serves as a key link between Design Engineering and Manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or people management experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual capital planning and execution in partnership with corporate Supply Chain. Manage engineering projects, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Provide clear leadership, direction, and accountability for maintenance performance. Drive TPM and asset reliable strategies to improve machine uptime and decrease cost of reactive maintenance.
  • Participate in and help execute Manufacturing improvement strategies around footprint optimization, automation, constraints management and product growth in coordination with Product Line Managers.
  • Support new and existing product introductions, equipment selection, and capacity improvements.
  • Provide support for EHS procedures and training, to drive a Zero Incident Culture across the plant. Serve as a MESH Category Champion, as assigned.
  • Implement Eaton PROLaunch framework and champion strong program management practices for flawless and timely project execution.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional projects to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean tools, Kaizen events, and process improvements.
  • Oversee formulation of manufacturing documentation, fabrication drawings, process sheets, control plans and tool layouts. Including global alignment to standardize processes and technologies.
  • Develop and execute Industry 4.0 strategy in alignment with Eaton corporate framework.
  • Model Eaton leadership behaviors and support a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Coach and build high performing engineers and maintenance team members.
