About The Position

The Life Fitness / Hammer Strength Internship Program 2026 is now accepting applicants in their junior and senior year. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as summer interns. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Manufacturing Engineering, develop valuable skills, and contribute to Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's mission and goals. Successful applicants will be assigned meaningful and challenging work suitable for their background. The program advisor(s) and mentors will meet with you regularly to identify and develop your summer objectives. This position is paid, based in Ramsey, Minnesota, and will run for approximately 13 weeks. Not available for remote opportunity.

Requirements

  • Must reside near Ramsey, MN
  • Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and graduating in 2027 or 2028
  • Strong academic standing preferred, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Initiative, positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt well to different situations and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Contribute meaningfully to a business-critical project with real impact
  • Support daily engineering tasks and processes within the manufacturing function
  • Collaborate with fellow interns on a 13-week group case study and present findings to leadership
  • Utilize MS Office and 3D modeling tools to analyze issues, summarize data, and create clear, actionable insights for decision-making
  • Follow established procedures to deliver high-quality work on time, and maintain organized, accurate data throughout projects
