About The Position

Trident Consulting is seeking a " Manufacturing Engineering Core 2" for one of our client in " St. Louis, Missouri ". A global leader in business and technology services Job Description –Manufacturing Engineering Core 2 Location: St. Louis, Missouri (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Contract Pay Rate: $24 – $25/hr (W2) Work Schedule 12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Rotating 2-week schedule: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday Role Overview The Packaging Operator 3 is responsible for operating and maintaining automated packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves running production lines, ensuring product quality, supporting process improvements, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards (including GMP).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Coursework in Chemistry or related field OR 6 months relevant experience
  • 2–4 years of packaging or manufacturing experience (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Experience in: Automated production lines Industrial equipment operation
  • Ability to operate manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Forklift operation experience (required)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Adaptability to changing priorities
  • Lift up to 55 lbs regularly
  • Move 300+ lbs (with/without assistance)
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Ability to work long shifts (12 hours)
  • Forklift operation required
  • Respirator use required
  • Must be clean-shaven (for respirator fit compliance)
  • Ability to meet attendance and schedule expectations

Nice To Haves

  • GMP experience
  • Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated packaging lines (machine-based filling vs. manual)
  • Set up, run, and monitor equipment such as: Filling machines Cappers Automated labelers Drum massagers Delumpers
  • Perform hand weighing operations where required
  • Ensure smooth product flow through the packaging process
  • Operate powered industrial equipment (including forklift)
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues
  • Support maintenance and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of department systems and tools
  • Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) – preferred experience
  • Maintain high standards for: Product quality Accuracy Regulatory compliance
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
  • Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support and lead test cycles to enhance: Efficiency System performance Customer service
  • Provide input on process optimization
  • Provide training and guidance to team members
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Communicate professionally with staff and leadership
  • Lead by example in safety, quality, and productivity
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions
